Dispenser – Clinical Pharmacy

About the role

Ibnesina Clinic is looking for a qualified Dispenser to join its Islamabad team. The role involves working closely with nurses, health technicians, and physicians to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing within an outpatient clinic setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions and clinic protocols.
• Verify prescription details and consult clinicians to resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory, perform stock rotation, check expiries, and assist with ordering.
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
• Document and report medication errors, adverse reactions, and stock variances.
• Ensure compliance with clinic safety standards and infection‑prevention procedures.

Required profile

• Experience dispensing medicines in a clinical or pharmacy environment.
• Knowledge of common medications, generic and brand names, and storage requirements.
• Familiarity with inventory control and record‑keeping practices.
• Strong communication skills for patient counseling and teamwork.
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize potential drug interactions.

• Basic computer entry for medical records.
