Technical Director – Immunization

About the role

Jhpiego is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead its immunization portfolio in Pakistan. The role serves as the senior technical authority on immunization and vaccine‑preventable disease prevention, providing strategic guidance to government partners, donors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic and technical leadership for routine immunization, polio eradication, supplementary immunization activities, and outbreak response.
• Translate national priorities, global guidance, and emerging evidence into practical program strategies.
• Guide the strengthening of routine immunization systems, including micro‑planning, workforce performance, supportive supervision, vaccine management, cold‑chain logistics, and last‑mile delivery.
• Lead new vaccine introductions, zero‑dose outreach, and efforts to improve coverage, equity, and quality.
• Oversee vaccine‑preventable disease surveillance and preparedness activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in immunization program management and technical leadership.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, donors, and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret epidemiological data and trends.
