Distributed Cache & DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Distributed Cache & DevOps Engineer to provide operational, technical, and production support for enterprise caching solutions. The role blends Java backend development, distributed cache troubleshooting, and Kubernetes‑based platform operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Hazelcast, Redis/Redis Cluster, and Apache Ignite cache clusters, monitoring health, memory, latency and throughput.
• Configure distributed maps, Near Cache, eviction policies, TTL, backup counts, serialization and cluster discovery.
• Troubleshoot cache incidents such as high latency, memory pressure, node restarts, split‑brain, data inconsistency and performance degradation.
• Assist with capacity planning, performance tuning and operational improvements.
• Analyze Java application behavior, JVM heap usage, garbage collection, thread dumps and serialization overhead.
• Support Spring Boot microservices integration with cache platforms and validate application‑side configurations.
• Deploy and manage cache platforms on Kubernetes, handling pods, services, configmaps, secrets, deployments and stateful workloads.
• Investigate pod restarts, resource limits, liveness/readiness probes and container logs.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, TLS/mTLS certificates and collaborate with infrastructure teams on networking, DNS, storage and security.
• Monitor metrics with AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or ELK, participate in incident management and produce root‑cause analysis reports.

Required profile

• Strong Java development background with experience in enterprise caching or in‑memory data grids.
• Hands‑on experience supporting distributed cache platforms in production environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes‑based deployments and DevOps practices.
