Divisional Head – Payment Services (SVP/EVP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a senior leader to head its Payment Services division. Reporting to the Group Chief Operations, the Divisional Head will oversee back‑office operations across corporate banking, treasury, trade, payments, collections, clearing, remittance, RTGS and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire back‑office for Corporate Banking, Treasury, Trade, Payments, Collections, Clearing, Remittance, RTGS and Cash Management operations.
• Collaborate with Corporate, Treasury and other Business Heads to shape strategy, policies and targets for regional and corporate teams.
• Translate business and strategic goals into operational plans that drive sales and profit growth.
• Identify and optimise operational opportunities while ensuring compliance with prudential regulations.
• Lead a large executive‑level team, fostering a performance‑driven culture through coaching and development.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 15 years of banking experience, including 5+ years in a senior head or deputy‑head role within Corporate Operations, Transaction Banking, Payment Services, Treasury, Foreign Remittances, Payments & RTGS, or Cash Management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, team‑management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to manage large executive‑level teams and deep knowledge of prudential regulations related to cash‑management products, RTGS, foreign‑exchange remittances and treasury.
