Documentation Specialist

About the role

Habib Bank AG Zurich is looking for an experienced Documentation Specialist to create and maintain high-quality technical and user documentation for software applications and systems. The role bridges technical teams and business users, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency and compliance across software documentation in a banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update technical, functional and user documentation
• Develop guides, manuals, API and process documentation
• Collaborate with development, business analysis and QA teams
• Document applications with a UI/UX focus
• Align documentation with the SDLC using Jira and Git
• Ensure accuracy, versioning and compliance
• Support audits, training and knowledge transfer
• Maintain standards, templates and repositories

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (4 years) in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in the banking sector
• Proven experience in technical writing or software documentation
• Strong attention to detail, ability to simplify complex technical concepts and excellent written English
• Experience in an enterprise or regulated environment is an advantage

Required skills

• Understanding of SDLC, tools and development processes
• Familiarity with Python, Java or JavaScript is a plus
• Experience documenting UIs, systems and workflows
