Driver

About the role

The Driver will operate assigned IOM office vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transport of staff, documents, and equipment while maintaining vehicle roadworthiness.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned vehicle(s) and plan the most direct, safe routes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, etc.) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain service schedules, keep vehicles clean, and manage spare parts inventory.
• Prepare daily log sheets and monthly reports on mileage and fuel consumption.
• Assist with airport arrivals, immigration and customs formalities.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items; perform simple clerical duties as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 2 years of relevant driving experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid national driver’s license.
• Fluency in English and Urdu (oral and written).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle security-sensitive situations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
• Skills in minor vehicle repairs and routine maintenance.
• Familiarity with radio, email, telephone and related applications.
