Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Avanceon is looking for a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join its team in the Lahore office. The engineer designs, implements and maintains electrical and instrumentation systems for clients across diverse projects, working with cross-functional teams and contributing to automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop E&I engineering deliverables according to project specifications and client requirements, and identify the scope of work and deliverables.
• Prepare RFQs for E&I items, review sub-vendor offers and give technical recommendations to procurement, and raise purchase orders through the portal.
• Handle electrical equipment such as motors, local control stations and motor starters, and instruments such as pressure, level and flow transmitters, gauges and control valves.
• Prepare E&I documents including single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, load lists, cause and effect, and cable schedules, and review P&IDs for alignment.
• Support the internal testing engineer so that FAT is completed successfully, and support the QC teams in closing punch points and obtaining IRNs.
• Take part in project initiation, execution and closure, attend project progress meetings and client reviews, and report risks and opportunities to the Project Manager.
• Travel to site for commissioning activities and ensure work complies with contracts, company policies and applicable laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE/BSc) in E&I from a reputable university with a good academic record.
• 4 to 6 years of experience.
• Preferred: experience in wellhead control panels, chemical dosing packages, metering skids, water treatment packages and oil & gas skid packages.
• Preferred: exposure to specifications of Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, PDO, Shell or QE Energy.
• Mandatory experience with explosion-proof equipment and ATEX/IECEx and ingress protection certifications.

Required skills

• Hands-on design expertise.
• Coordination with cross-functional departments to meet deliverable deadlines.
• Basic ability to read P&ID, skid GA and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation symbols per international standards.
