Embedded Engineer

About the role

Electronic Interconnect Engineering (EIE) is seeking an Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for electronic systems. The position is full‑time, on‑site in Islamabad, and involves the entire product lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and debug embedded applications on microcontroller‑ and microprocessor‑based platforms.
• Integrate software with hardware, read schematics and datasheets, and collaborate with hardware design teams.
• Participate in design reviews, optimize system performance, and document technical solutions.
• Support product validation, troubleshooting, and system testing throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and technical discussions.
• Ability to work on‑site in a team‑oriented environment and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Embedded software programming and design for microcontroller and microprocessor systems.
• Experience with debugging tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts, protocols, and architectures.
• Understanding of digital and analog electronics, circuit design, and hardware‑software interfaces.
