About the role

Midjac is seeking an experienced Cook to lead its culinary team in Islamabad. The role involves preparing a variety of local, Chinese and English dishes while ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of local, Chinese and English dishes to company standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Lead and coordinate a team of four kitchen staff, assigning tasks and monitoring workflow.
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, complying with health regulations.
• Organise kitchen operations to meet service timelines and ensure timely food delivery.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, adjusting recipes and techniques as needed.
• Manage inventory, ensuring fresh ingredients are available.
• Collaborate on menu development and train junior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in high‑level culinary establishments or 4‑5 star hotels.
• Strong commitment to hygiene and food safety.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
