Field Engineer - Robotics and AI

About the role

Mimetic Machines is a robotics and AI company based in Munich, Germany, expanding its operations in Pakistan. We are seeking a Field Engineer - Robotics and AI to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and improvement of intelligent automation systems in Karachi and at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, integrate, and commission robotic and AI‑enabled automation systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, controls, networking, and software issues in the field.
• Calibrate sensors, actuators, cameras, and robotic equipment for safe and accurate operation.
• Test system performance, document results, and implement corrective actions.
• Support customer‑site deployments, maintenance activities, and technical demonstrations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, usability, and deployment processes.
• Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for recurring issues.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with industrial robots, automation equipment, or electromechanical systems.
• Understanding of robotics, control systems, sensors, actuators, machine vision, and industrial networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, wiring, PLC or controller interfaces, operating systems, and application software.
• Programming or scripting capability in Python, C++, or a comparable language.
• Familiarity with Linux, ROS or similar robotics platforms, Git, and structured software testing.
• Strong skills in system commissioning, calibration, root‑cause analysis, and technical documentation.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, follow safety procedures, and work independently at customer sites.
