Finance Controller

About the role

This is a newly created Finance Controller role, working closely with management to safeguard the financial health of the company. The controller ensures financial systems and processes are followed, tasks are completed on time and stakeholders receive the information they need to make sound decisions. A key part of the job is building good working relationships with non-financial colleagues across H-Tech Supports so that finance needs are met promptly, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5 members.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial information for multiple entities, including monthly consolidated group accounts and financial analysis.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights into business performance.
• Manage budgets and forecasts, and join the annual budgeting process.
• Handle full set accounting, including daily accounting, book-keeping and month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly management reports and monthly payroll for employees of multiple entities.
• Ensure accurate sales and purchase data, client and vendor billings and timely invoicing.
• Oversee and liaise with internal and external audits, guide tax and regulatory compliance, and review income tax returns and statutory reports.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, consultants and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies and procedures, and handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting in multi-entity environments; audit firm experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good English and Urdu.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Oddo and Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ERP system Oddo.
