Fintech & Payments Founding Engineer, Tech Lead (CTO Path)

About the role

We are a venture studio focused on launching and scaling fintech and payments startups at speed. We seek a senior, hands‑on full‑stack engineer who will own the design and delivery of payment‑centric products and progress toward a CTO role within our centralized tech team.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build wallet and ledger systems from first principles.
• Integrate payment providers, banking APIs, and orchestrate transaction flows.
• Design compliant KYC/AML, fraud detection, and risk‑control mechanisms.
• Develop secure, scalable backend services and event‑driven processing pipelines.
• Implement auditability, traceability, and internal controls for financial operations.
• Collaborate with product owners and founders to ensure financially viable system designs.
• Transition into a CTO role for one or more spin‑out ventures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong fintech or payments exposure, with experience building transaction‑heavy systems.
• Proven expertise in wallet architecture, ledger logic, and payment gateway integration.
• Solid understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in finance.
