Full Stack Software Engineer (Mid‑Senior) – Islamabad

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our onsite team in Islamabad. The role involves owning the end‑to‑end development of high‑performance e‑commerce web applications, from database design and API creation to frontend delivery with Next.js and React.

Key responsibilities

• Develop fast, SEO‑optimised storefronts using Next.js (App Router / Pages Router) and React, implementing SSR, SSG and ISR as needed.
• Build reusable component libraries with state management (Redux, Zustand or Context API) and ensure Core Web Vitals, mobile‑first responsiveness and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Design, implement and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs with Node.js and Express.js, handling product catalog, cart, checkout and order management logic.
• Integrate authentication and authorisation mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2.0, RBAC) and third‑party services such as Stripe, PayPal, shipping and tax APIs.
• Architect and manage MongoDB schemas for high‑volume product and order data, and configure Supabase (PostgreSQL) for relational needs, including migrations, indexing and performance tuning.
• Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases, selecting the appropriate technology based on data shape and access patterns.
• Deliver custom e‑commerce platforms outside of managed solutions, integrating Odoo, auto‑parts standards (ACES/PIES) where required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven record of shipping production e‑commerce applications.
• Hands‑on experience with the MERN stack and deep knowledge of Next.js, React and Node.js.
• Strong background in database design and management for both SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build and maintain APIs from scratch.
