Funds Attorney – Remote Legal Role

About the role

We are seeking a Funds Attorney on a contractual basis to provide expert legal support for financial fund operations. The role is fully remote and involves ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting fund documentation, and advising on complex fund structures and transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate fund agreements such as limited partnership agreements, subscription documents, and side letters.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, including investment fund regulations and securities laws.
• Provide legal guidance on fund structuring, governance, and operational matters.
• Assist with due diligence for fund investments and related transactions.
• Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations affecting fund operations.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience focused on investment funds, private equity, or venture capital.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities for fund agreements.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
