General Manager – Operations

About the role

The General Manager – Operations provides strategic leadership for the organization’s supply chain, logistics, and warehouse functions. This senior role ensures operational efficiency, cost optimization, and alignment with overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated supply chain and logistics strategies aligned with business goals.
• Oversee inventory management, warehousing, logistics, distribution, and order fulfillment.
• Drive cost optimization, productivity, and continuous improvement across all functions.
• Establish, monitor, and review KPIs, targets, and performance standards for supply chain teams.
• Ensure optimum inventory levels, stock availability, accuracy, and working‑capital efficiency.
• Streamline and improve supply chain processes, policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Utilize SAP and other systems for inventory, warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Strengthen demand and supply planning, forecasting, and replenishment.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation, contingency, and business‑continuity plans.
• Lead, mentor, and develop departmental heads and teams.
• Coordinate cross‑functionally with Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Commercial.
• Manage operational budgets and ensure cost control.
• Monitor supplier and logistics partner performance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead strategic initiatives for growth, digitalization, and supply chain transformation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including senior management responsibility.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
• Proven ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience and proficiency with SAP, especially for supply chain, inventory, warehouse, and logistics management.
