General Manager – Travel & Tourism

About the role

Blusky Tours & Travels is building a new travel and tourism company in Pakistan and seeks a General Manager to lead the agency from the ground up. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on operational management across all travel verticals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and build the complete operational structure of the agency.
• Develop SOPs, workflows, rate structures and service standards.
• Recruit, train and manage the core travel team.
• Oversee ticketing, Umrah, visa, holiday, domestic tour and hotel booking operations.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with airlines, consolidators, hotels, DMCs and other suppliers.
• Design and price competitive travel and Umrah packages while ensuring strong gross margins.
• Handle customer service, complaints, refunds and operational escalations.
• Implement booking, documentation and payment controls and monitor KPIs, service quality and profitability.
• Collaborate with directors on growth strategy, new services and expansion, including corporate travel and B2B channels.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of experience in the travel & tourism industry.
• 3–5 years in a senior management or agency leadership role.
• Strong understanding of airline ticketing and GDS operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Umrah operations, domestic and international tours, hotel supplier management and visa processing.
• Proven commercial and package‑costing abilities.
• Existing industry and supplier relationships are a major advantage.
• Demonstrated experience building and leading teams with high integrity and accountability.
