Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners. The teacher will nurture academic, social and emotional growth while creating a safe and stimulating environment. The role involves preparing instructional materials, assessing student work, and contributing to the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that build foundational skills.
• Manage daily classroom routines and behaviour to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Monitor each student’s progress and provide individualized support as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student development and classroom activities.
• Foster confidence, independence and a love of learning in all students.

Required profile

• Commitment to the holistic development of Grade 1 students.
• Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with families and school staff.
• A passion for early childhood education and a proactive approach to student wellbeing.
