Guest Relations Officer

About the role

The Guest Relations Officer will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at The Shalimar Grand Hotel. Working full‑time on‑site, you will ensure a warm welcome, smooth check‑in and check‑out, and prompt handling of all guest inquiries and requests.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests at arrival, managing check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Respond quickly to guest inquiries and resolve issues in coordination with front‑desk and other departments.
• Handle phone calls, manage reservations, and maintain accurate guest records.
• Support front‑office operations by operating reservation and front‑office systems.
• Uphold the hotel’s service standards and contribute to overall guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong guest‑relations and customer‑satisfaction mindset with a genuine commitment to positive experiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Proficiency in typical receptionist duties, including reservations and check‑in/out processes.
• Relevant experience in hotel or hospitality front‑office roles.
• Problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and calmness under pressure.
• Basic computer literacy; familiarity with hotel management or reservation software is a plus.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
