Head of Enterprise Digital Architecture & Strategy (SVP/EVP)

About the role

Fulcrum is hiring on behalf of its client in the banking industry for a Head of Enterprise Digital Architecture & Strategy (SVP/EVP) based in Karachi. The role leads digital solution architecture and drives technology-enabled business transformation by aligning Business, Digital Products, Operations, Risk and Compliance, and Technology. It seeks a strategic technology leader who can turn business strategy into a scalable digital technology roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Develop digital technology architecture roadmaps aligned with business and product strategies.
• Define the target-state architecture for new digital products and services.
• Architect end-to-end customer journeys with Product and UX teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve Straight Through Processing (STP) and customer experience.
• Define and govern Open Banking and API architecture strategies.
• Drive API-enabled financial services platforms and standardized integration frameworks.
• Lead integration architecture across payment systems, government platforms and third-party service providers.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their business viability.
• Provide architectural direction to technical teams so that digital solutions are scalable and sustainable.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Digital Architecture, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or Digital Transformation.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Banking or financial services experience is strongly preferred.
• Ideal candidate: a strategic technology leader combining software development foundations with enterprise-level architectural expertise and the ability to bridge business strategy with digital technology execution.
