Head of IT PMO - TPL Insurance

About the role

TPL Insurance, an AA-rated insurer and one of Pakistan's leading InsurTech companies, is hiring a Head of IT Project Management Office (PMO) in Karachi. The role acts as the business point of contact to capture demand, coordinate with IT sub-departments such as software development, infrastructure, cloud computing, operations and QA, and drive the digitization of business processes and the implementation of the Insurtech ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and promote the use of existing and new technologies to increase productivity or build new capabilities.
• Take part in business initiatives and process change implementations.
• Ensure compliance with IT controls (policies and procedures).
• Shape demand into specific projects, prioritizing with stakeholders and identifying resources.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of projects under the IT and Digital Roadmap, including stakeholder management and project updates via a project management dashboard.
• Own the solution agenda from initiation to execution, including global solutions, and close capability gaps.
• Manage project costs and budgets, and ensure SAP support and change delivery with minimal business disruption.
• Manage project management practices and frameworks, and sustain the super-user community.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Project Management or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services sector.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP or Prince2 Practitioner mandatory); Agile highly desirable.
• Experience in advanced deployment planning and execution.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT risk management and controls.
• Project costing and financial management, including digital transformation projects.
• Knowledge of current IT trends.
• Strong business analysis, analytical and interpersonal skills.
