Health and Safety Technician

About the role

The Health and Safety Technician supports the HS Engineer in ensuring compliance with legal and company safety requirements. This role focuses on daily safety management, contractor training, and incident monitoring across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the work permit system.
• Provide daily on‑job training for contractors and sub‑contractors.
• Detect and report non‑conformities, unsafe acts and near‑misses.
• Follow up weekly on the closure of recommendations and action steps from reported incidents.
• Prepare daily snapshot reports for the Hand in Hand leader.
• Inspect incoming material, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Display H&S information videos weekly on site screens.
• Audit shift startup control forms on a weekly basis.
• Share weekly safety observations within the plant.
• Conduct 15‑minute H&S trainings daily via the Buniyaad platform.
• Verify that emergency control measures (fire fighting and first aid) are in place and effective.
• Implement the CCI contractor management standard.
• Inspect contractor‑used equipment, maintain gate entry lists and tag equipment after inspection.

Required profile

• BS or MS degree in a relevant field.
• NEBOSH certification.
