HPC Engineer – Remote/Hybrid

About the role

The HPC Engineer will design, implement, and maintain high‑performance computing infrastructure that supports RedFort Group’s data‑intensive workloads. This full‑time position can be performed remotely or in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise parallel and distributed applications for scientific and business workloads.
• Manage cluster resources, including schedulers and resource managers such as Slurm, PBS, or Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues across HPC systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.
• Contribute to automation, documentation, and best‑practice guidelines for deployment pipelines and operational workflows.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
• Experience in back‑end web development related to HPC services, APIs, or microservices.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• MPI, OpenMP, CUDA (or similar) for high‑performance computing.
• Linux‑based environments.
• Cluster schedulers and resource managers: Slurm, PBS, Kubernetes.
• Object‑Oriented Programming principles applied to scalable systems.
• Back‑end web development, API design, and microservices.
