HR Operations Manager – US Payroll & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day HR activities for our US‑based workforce from our Karachi office. The role involves overseeing payroll, employee lifecycle, HR systems, benefits, and compliance with US employment regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end US HR operations, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate and process US payroll, ensuring accurate salaries, deductions, taxes, benefits and overtime.
• Maintain employee records, HRIS/HRMS data, attendance, leave and time‑keeping systems.
• Respond to employee queries on payroll, benefits, policies and employment matters.
• Prepare HR, payroll, headcount and attendance reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Develop and enforce HR policies, SOPs and ensure compliance with federal and state US labor laws.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate with the HR team and US‑based management to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in HR operations, preferably managing US‑based HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll, benefits, leave/PTO and employment compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
