Hydraulic Mechanic – On‑site (Karachi Division)

About the role

Akber Ali & Sons is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Mechanic to join its on‑site service team in the Karachi Division. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems across a range of heavy equipment and industrial machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses and related components.
• Diagnose hydraulic faults using schematics, manuals and diagnostic equipment, and execute timely repairs.
• Replace or repair hydraulic parts, ensuring proper re‑assembly and testing.
• Prepare detailed maintenance and repair reports and coordinate with the service team for after‑sales support.
• Adhere to safety standards, use appropriate PPE, and handle hydraulic fluids and pressure systems safely.
• Support field service operations and travel to customer sites when required.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with hydraulic system diagnosis, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical manuals and service documentation.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Industrial or Automotive technology with a hydraulics focus.
• Prior experience in heavy equipment, construction or industrial machinery service is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work in a team‑oriented environment.
