Information Technology Support Specialist

About the role

NeXskill - Be Productive, an IT training institute in Pakistan, is hiring a full-time, on-site Information Technology Support Specialist in Lahore. The specialist provides technical support for desktop computers, software applications and network connectivity so that end users experience minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to help desk tickets and diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Escalate complex problems when necessary.
• Install and configure systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Document solutions and guide users on best practices.
• Collaborate with instructors and administrative staff to support training labs and keep the IT environment stable and secure.

Required profile

• Experience assisting end users in an educational or corporate environment.
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, able to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Technical support and help desk support.
• Troubleshooting of hardware, software and network issues, including incident diagnosis and resolution.
• Desktop computer installation, configuration, upgrades and peripheral setup.
• Foundational knowledge of operating systems, networks and security best practices.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are an advantage.
