Instrumentation & Control Manager (Power Plant)

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Manager leads the I&C department to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance of plant equipment. This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities while fostering a high‑performance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the I&C department in delivering safe, reliable, and quality‑oriented maintenance for instrumentation and control systems.
• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities, prepare budgets, and manage procurement and service contracts.
• Train, develop, and evaluate the I&C team, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Performance, and Maintenance departments to meet availability, reliability, efficiency, and safety targets.
• Conduct employee performance reviews, manage leave and overtime, and oversee staff deployment during odd‑hour shifts.
• Implement and enforce safety programs, issue work permits, and conduct internal safety audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in a Combined Cycle Power Plant, preferably as an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of field instrumentation and control systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, procurement, and team development.

Required skills

• Field instrumentation expertise.
• Control systems knowledge, including PLC and DCS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CMMS/SAP.
