Inventory Control Specialist (FIFO/FEFO)

About the role

The Inventory Control Specialist will oversee the flow of goods within Jamil's Restaurant in Karachi, ensuring accurate stock records and minimizing waste through FIFO and FEFO practices. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, the role supports seamless procurement and supply continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory activities including receiving, issuance, transfers, and stock reconciliations.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts, monitor variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Implement FIFO and FEFO procedures to reduce product spoilage.
• Coordinate with suppliers to verify deliveries, quality and maintain documentation.
• Use ERP systems and MS Excel to track inventory data, generate reports and analyse stock movements.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Maintain supplier relationships and assist in vendor evaluation.
• Support audits by providing accurate records and demonstrate control procedures.
• Record wastage data and suggest corrective actions to reduce losses.

Required profile

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of inventory principles such as FIFO and FEFO.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
