Java Backend Engineer – Enterprise Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade backend services and APIs. The position works across multiple internal systems (OMS, DFIX, CSM, GW) with a strong emphasis on stability, performance, and scalable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java 8.
• Design scalable, reliable, and reusable service components.
• Implement and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems.
• Work across OMS, DFIX, CSM, and GW applications and their integrations.
• Implement business logic, data processing, validation, and service integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimise application performance.
• Write unit tests and support integration and regression testing.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
• Support deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java 8 and enterprise backend development.
• Solid understanding of Java OOP, collections, exception handling, and multithreading.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs/services.
• Familiarity with enterprise application integration and distributed environments.
• Proven debugging, troubleshooting, and performance‑optimization skills.
• Experience with unit testing and API/integration testing.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Maven, and Agile development practices.
• Exposure to OMS, DFIX, CSM, GW, ESB/LWAPI or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
