Java Software Architect

About the role

Systems Limited is seeking a seasoned Java Software Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable enterprise backend platforms. You will shape technical strategy, drive performance, security, and ensure delivery excellence across distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect high‑performance, secure backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Define service decomposition, API standards, integration patterns, and cloud‑native deployment architectures.
• Lead development of RESTful APIs, event‑driven communication (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and reusable frameworks.
• Establish best practices for authentication, logging, monitoring, resiliency, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct architecture reviews, enforce code quality, and mentor development teams.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
• Optimize scalability, reliability, performance, and cloud resource utilization on Azure/AWS.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and evaluate emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on Java development and enterprise architecture experience.
• Deep knowledge of Java 8+ features, OOP, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.
• Proven expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservices design.
• Strong background in distributed systems, scalability, and resiliency patterns.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
