About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team and support a portfolio of UK clients. This role offers hands‑on experience with bookkeeping, VAT, and tax compliance while working with leading accounting software.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a range of UK clients.
- Prepare VAT calculations and assist with HMRC submissions.
- Support the preparation of annual accounts working papers.
- Prepare basic self‑assessment tax returns covering salary, dividends, rental income and self‑employment income.
Required profile
- ACCA Affiliate or final‑year student.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a UK accountancy practice.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero and QuickBooks (mandatory).
- Familiarity with Zoho, TaxCalc, FreeAgent (preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills.
