Junior Accountant & Tax Filer

About the role

ABS International is seeking a Junior Accountant & Tax Filer for its Gulshan‑e‑Iqbal office in Karachi. The position offers immediate responsibility for tax compliance, payroll and day‑to‑day accounting, reporting directly to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly withholding tax statements on the FBR IRIS portal, including salary, vendor and Section 165 taxes.
• Assist with bi‑annual and annual corporate income tax returns and maintain tax deduction schedules.
• Process monthly payroll, calculate deductions, overtime and allowances.
• Manage petty cash, maintain daily registers and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Record daily transactions, handle vendor payments, bills, rent and other expenses.
• Perform bank reconciliations and produce cash‑flow reports for management.
• Coordinate with HR on attendance data and leave settlements.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified CA, ACCA, CMA or a BBA/B.Com graduate.
• Minimum 1 year of practical accounting experience with FBR filing exposure.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP or equivalent accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for formulas, ledgers and financial reporting.
• Honest, reliable and able to meet strict deadlines.
• Available to work Monday‑Saturday, 6 PM – 2 AM on‑site.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a stable payroll record of 16 years.
• Base salary PKR 50,000 – 55,000 per month.
• 15 days paid annual leave.
