About the role
Squarera is seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join its Karachi team. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines and ensuring data quality for internal reporting and analytics.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Write efficient, complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and loading.
- Perform data validation, cleansing and troubleshoot pipeline issues.
- Support reporting and data integration requirements across the organisation.
- Track tasks, progress and issues using Jira.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver data solutions on schedule.
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned data engineering tasks.
Required profile
- Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of ETL concepts.
- Basic familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
- Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines.
