Junior Production Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Production Engineer you will support safe and efficient shift operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will work closely with the Principal Engineer and a team of operators, helpers, and packers.

Key responsibilities

• Enter shift production and dispatch data into SAP and manage manpower requirements for smooth operations.
• Achieve shift‑wise production targets for quality and quantity, monitor product losses, and prepare shift performance reports.
• Review lab results, coordinate with the Shift Chemist on non‑conformances, and ensure proper segregation of product grades.
• Check and maintain process equipment, oversee housekeeping, and liaise with other divisions during shutdowns or load‑shedding events.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, study processes, and propose technological enhancements.
• Enforce safety protocols, ensure PPE usage, manage work permits, and deliver EHS training.

Required profile

• B.Sc or B.E. in Chemical Engineering (or related field).
• 0‑1 year of manufacturing experience with good literacy of production processes.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, DCS/SLC operation, and plant troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and safety/environmental regulations.
