Junior Production Engineer

About the role

The Junior Production Engineer supports safe, efficient shift operations in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring equipment reliability while adhering to safety and environmental procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Enter shift production and dispatch data into SAP, manage manpower requirements, and produce shift performance reports.
• Monitor product quality, coordinate with the Shift Chemist on non‑conformances, and ensure proper segregation of product grades.
• Inspect and maintain process equipment, oversee housekeeping, and liaise with other shift engineers during shutdowns or load‑shedding events.
• Identify and implement process improvements through technological advancements and analytical problem‑solving.
• Enforce safety protocols, ensure proper use of PPE, manage work permits, and deliver EHS training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Strong manufacturing literacy and knowledge of instrumentation and DCS/SLC operation.
• Good communication, mentoring, and a proactive, can‑do attitude.

Required skills
