Junior Production Engineer

About the role

The Junior Production Engineer will support safe and efficient shift operations at our Cornwala manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will help drive production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure smooth coordination of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Enter shift production and dispatch data into SAP and manage manpower requirements.
• Achieve shift‑wise production targets for quality and quantity while controlling product losses.
• Prepare shift performance reports, record attendance, and monitor lab results to guide operators.
• Coordinate with the Shift Chemist on in‑process non‑conformances and maintain separate product grades.
• Inspect and maintain process equipment, ensure housekeeping, and liaise with other divisions during shutdowns or load‑shedding.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives using technological advancements.
• Enforce safety protocols, ensure PPE usage, and conduct EHS training for the team.

Required profile

• B.Sc or B.E. in Chemical Engineering (or related) with at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Good manufacturing literacy and familiarity with instrumentation.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and safety/environmental regulations.

Required skills

• SAP for production data entry.
• Operation of DCS/SLC control systems.
• Instrumentation handling and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP procedures.
