Key Account Manager – Supply Chain (Karachi)

About the role

Layers is building the infrastructure for a global circular fashion supply chain, connecting second‑hand clothing graders and raghouses in Pakistan with buyers worldwide. The Supply Chain Key Account Manager will own and develop strategic supplier relationships, ensuring the right products are delivered at the right quality, price, volume and timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with assigned strategic suppliers, communicating stock, pricing, capacity and fulfilment requirements.
• Ensure suppliers understand and adhere to Layers’ quality standards, commercial expectations and operating procedures.
• Identify, assess and onboard new suppliers that meet product and capacity criteria, coordinating trials, sample orders and compliance checks.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, lead times and exclusivity agreements while protecting margins.
• Track and report supplier performance across quality, price, capacity, responsiveness and reliability, maintaining scorecards and visibility.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Control, Logistics, Finance and Sales teams to keep orders moving through sourcing, QC, processing and dispatch.
• Escalate major commercial decisions with data‑driven recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Commercially sharp with strong negotiation skills.
• Operationally disciplined and able to create structure and reporting where none exists.
• Confident interacting with supplier owners and senior decision‑makers.
• Willing to challenge poor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to build long‑term partnerships without creating dependency on a single source.
