Lathman / Die Fitter

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Lathman / Die Fitter to join its Lahore workshop. The role involves operating lathes, fitting dies, maintaining tooling and producing automotive components to precise drawing specifications on a morning shift.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional lathes, milling machines and related metal‑working equipment.
• Fit, assemble and align dies and fixtures, ensuring correct mounting for production runs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T tolerances and surface‑finish requirements.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height and bore gauges.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues and carry out minor repairs on machines and dies.
• Collaborate with production planners and quality control to achieve first‑pass yield and minimise re‑work.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience in lathe operation and die fitting, preferably in automotive or metal‑working environments.
• Ability to read and verify engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
• Strong knowledge of shop safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage.
• Technical diploma or equivalent vocational training is desirable.
