Lead Data Architect

About the role

DigyCorp is looking for a hands‑on Lead Data Architect to define and own the end‑to‑end data architecture for a large‑scale Azure‑centric Digital Twin and AI/ML platform. The role combines enterprise data strategy, lakehouse design, real‑time IoT ingestion, and governance for a national coral‑reef restoration programme in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target, transition and reference data architecture, including conceptual, logical and physical models and ADRs.
• Design an Azure Lakehouse & Databricks solution using Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns.
• Architect high‑volume batch and streaming ingestion from APIs, IoT sensors, SCADA, scientific datasets and third‑party sources.
• Lead migration of a large external imagery archive to a secure, client‑controlled environment, handling transfer strategy, metadata preservation and lifecycle management.
• Create Digital Twin data models for assets, locations, sensors, environmental conditions and events.
• Define scalable time‑series, spatial, event‑driven and streaming data patterns for real‑time situational awareness.
• Design GIS integration with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, including spatial services and interoperability with the Digital Twin.
• Own Databricks/Delta Lake architecture, covering storage design, partitioning, performance tuning and schema evolution.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing enterprise data architectures on Azure.
• Proven ability to lead complex data migration and integration projects.
• Deep knowledge of lakehouse concepts, Medallion architecture and real‑time data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Digital Twin, IoT and GIS data models.
