Lead, Logistics Operations

About the role

Delivery Hero is looking for a strategic, analytical and execution-focused leader to join its regional logistics team as Lead, Logistics Operations. You will lead a team of Specialists and own regional logistics operations, rider staffing frameworks and daily operational performance across diverse markets, acting as the bridge between data-driven strategy and on-the-ground execution so that rider supply matches customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Logistics Operations Specialists, building a culture of analytical rigor and operational excellence.
• Own logistics performance for assigned markets, monitoring daily trends, diagnosing operational issues and implementing data-backed solutions to improve delivery times, order fulfillment and customer experience.
• Oversee daily demand planning and rider staffing, refine forecasting models and shift planning to balance service level targets with cost efficiency and cost-per-order targets.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying manual bottlenecks and promoting internal automation, AI productivity tools and scalable systems.
• Spearhead the rollout of new logistics products, tools and features, run post-launch impact analyses and align local operations with central product and tech teams.
• Partner with Local Logistics Leaders, Finance Leaders and Product Managers, translating operational data into recommendations for senior leadership and standardizing best practices across the region.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in high-growth tech, logistics, strategy consulting or operations management; gig-economy or marketplace logistics experience is a strong plus.
• Proven track record of managing direct reports or leading complex, cross-functional project teams (1-2+ years).
• University degree in STEM, Economics, Business or a related quantitative field.
• Exceptional written and spoken English, with strong ownership, logical thinking and accountability.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Experience with Looker and modern AI productivity tools and automation frameworks is highly desired.
