Lead Mechanic - Fleet Maintenance (Remote)

About the role

Sadiqabad Automobiles, a Karachi-based fleet maintenance provider serving corporate clients in banking, telecom, pharmaceutical, textile, IT and transport, is hiring a full-time remote Lead Mechanic. The role oversees and executes fleet maintenance and repair for corporate clients, coordinating with service staff and customer representatives while keeping accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and technical issues and plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules
• Ensure timely completion of repair and service tasks
• Coordinate with service staff and customer representatives and provide technical guidance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, parts usage and work orders
• Review estimates, advise on repair priorities and support insurance claim documentation
• Uphold safety and quality standards in all maintenance work

Required profile

• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
• Experience leading or supervising mechanics or technicians in a workshop or fleet environment
• Ability to coordinate remotely with clients and internal teams using digital tools, with clear written and verbal communication
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in automobile engineering, mechanical technology, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work orders and deadlines
• Familiarity with documentation for estimates, billing and insurance claims is an advantage
