Lead Network Management & Operations

About the role

The Lead Network Management & Operations role is the technical authority for K‑Electric’s enterprise network, overseeing core, branch and access segments. You will ensure secure, reliable connectivity that supports business systems, applications and services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Network Management portfolio, covering LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls and NAC solutions.
• Maintain high availability, reliability and security across all locations, complying with SLAs, KPIs and security standards.
• Drive end‑to‑end network projects, modernization initiatives and upgrades.
• Manage vendor relationships, budgets and alignment with IT governance and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Implement carrier‑class network fabrics, segmentation, high‑availability topologies and fault‑tolerant routing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years in network management (core, distribution, access, Wi‑Fi).
• 5+ years in network security (NGFW, NAC, IPS/IDS, VPN, Zero‑Trust).
• 5+ years delivering large‑scale network projects and modernization.
• At least two professional certifications in network operations or security.

Required skills

• Cisco and Huawei networking platforms.
• Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls.
• LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN and data‑center fabrics.
• Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
• MPLS VPNs, QoS, NetFlow, SNMP, AIOps telemetry.
• Network Access Control (NAC), IPS/IDS, VPN, Zero‑Trust, ZTNA, SASE.
• Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 design, RF surveying and spectrum analysis.
• Compliance frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST 800‑53, CIS benchmarks.
