Legal Associate - Cybersecurity

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Associate to join our in‑house legal team, focusing on technology and cybersecurity. This is a high‑volume, commercially‑driven position where you will be embedded in the business, providing real‑time legal support and ensuring the legal function does not become a bottleneck.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, reseller, OEM, partnership, NDAs, MSAs and vendor contracts.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle for the cybersecurity vertical, from initial drafting through execution, variation and renewal.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to improve turnaround time and consistency.
• Advise business teams on contractual risk, obligations and rights in a clear, practical manner.
• Support data‑protection and privacy matters, including GDPR compliance across key markets.
• Monitor regulatory developments in technology and cybersecurity, flagging material changes to leadership.
• Maintain contract registers, legal trackers and document repositories for the assigned vertical.
• Coordinate with external counsel on specialist matters, managing instructions and ensuring cost‑effective use of resources.

• Hands‑on, high‑volume legal professional who can work at pace and take initiative.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate legal risk into business‑friendly advice.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with product, finance, and business unit leaders.
• Detail‑oriented and able to maintain quality under pressure.
