Legal Associate - Cybersecurity

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Associate to join our in‑house legal team, focusing on the technology and cybersecurity vertical. The role is hands‑on, high‑volume and requires the associate to act as a true business partner, providing real‑time advice and ensuring the legal function does not become a bottleneck.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS, software licensing, reseller, distribution, white‑label, OEM, partnership agreements, NDAs, MSAs and vendor contracts.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle for the cybersecurity vertical, including drafting, execution, variation and renewal, and maintain standard templates and playbooks.
• Advise business teams on contractual risk, obligations and rights in a clear, commercial manner.
• Support data‑protection and privacy matters, including GDPR compliance, and maintain customer‑facing legal documents such as terms of service, privacy policies, acceptable use policies and cookie notices.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting technology and cybersecurity, flag material changes and assist with regulatory filings or liaison with authorities.
• Maintain contract registers, legal trackers and document repositories; coordinate with external counsel on specialist matters and ensure cost‑effective use of external resources.
• Contribute to improving internal legal processes and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contracts and technology or cybersecurity matters.
• Ability to work at pace, take initiative and deliver high‑quality work under pressure.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to translate legal risk into practical business advice.
• Familiarity with data‑protection regulations such as GDPR and other privacy frameworks across key markets.
• Comfortable collaborating with product, finance, business unit heads and external counsel.
