Legal Compliance Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Compliance Specialist to work remotely on a contractor basis, supporting a leading technology and financial services client. The role focuses on ensuring PII compliance of sensitive documents, assisting with M&A documentation, and establishing robust compliance protocols for AI training data.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to meet PII compliance while preserving data utility.
• Prepare and manage M&A documentation, including Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and Sale Purchase Agreements (SPAs).
• Implement and maintain compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets.
• Advise on structural identifiability of confidential workflows and triage protocols.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII-related issues.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of PII compliance regulations, especially in the financial services sector.
• Experience with document review, redaction, and generalization for privacy compliance.
• Proven ability to handle complex deal documentation such as CIMs and SPAs.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving skills to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PII compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Document redaction and data anonymization techniques.
• Familiarity with M&A documentation processes.
