Legal Consultant – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Consultant to work remotely on a contract basis, providing expert legal input that will train advanced AI systems. The role bridges corporate law, litigation, and regulatory compliance with cutting‑edge technology, allowing you to shape how AI models reason about legal matters across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts to optimise business outcomes while mitigating legal and financial risk.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research and case analysis, delivering actionable insights for decision‑making.
• Support litigation and dispute resolution by preparing and reviewing documentation for internal and external counsel.
• Assess regulatory compliance and perform due diligence for corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions.
• Design system prompts and evaluation rubrics that improve the accuracy and reliability of AI models in legal reasoning.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, or regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research, risk assessment, and support dispute resolution in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards in legal practice and data handling.
• Experience with due‑diligence processes, especially in high‑risk transactions such as M&A.
