Legal Manager

About the role

National Foods Limited is seeking a Legal Manager to lead its legal function, support various business units, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Legal Counsel in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts and agreements in line with company policies.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on statutes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Lead mediation and arbitration processes to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and corporate governance standards.
• Represent the company in court proceedings and other legal matters as required.
• Develop and implement risk‑mitigation strategies and provide legal guidance to internal teams.
• Safeguard the company’s intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
• Manage legal documentation, ensuring proper organization, accessibility, and confidentiality.
• Perform due‑diligence assessments for business transactions and advise on risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in law or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of legal principles, regulations, and corporate governance.
• Proficiency with legal research tools.
• Experience using document management systems.
• Advanced competency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
