Legal Researcher - Legal Tech Project

About the role

Jura AI is an AI-powered legal-tech and tax-tech platform that simplifies legal research, drafting, taxation, compliance, contract review and litigation management. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Legal Researcher based in Rawalpindi. The researcher uses both traditional resources and Jura AI's proprietary tools to carry out legal and regulatory research across several practice areas.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze statutes, case law and regulations
• Prepare concise research notes and memoranda
• Assist with legal document drafting and review
• Support product development by validating AI-generated outputs, identifying edge cases and suggesting improvements to research and drafting workflows
• Collaborate with legal practitioners, product managers and engineers so that the solutions match current legal standards and user needs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); advanced legal qualifications are an advantage
• Strong foundation in law, with knowledge of core legal principles and procedures
• Experience preparing legal documents, including drafting, reviewing and structuring research memoranda
• Ability to work with attention to detail, manage several research tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex legal texts and regulatory frameworks
• Effective communication, presenting findings clearly in writing and verbally and working with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in research, including legal databases and primary and secondary legal sources
• Familiarity with legal-tech or AI tools and a strong interest in technology-driven innovation in law
