Logistics Category Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Category Specialist manages import shipments and related logistics activities, ensuring timely and compliant movement of imported materials while supporting cost‑effective operations across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end import shipments with international suppliers, freight forwarders and clearing agents.
• Prepare, verify and maintain import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin.
• Track shipments and proactively follow up with stakeholders to minimise delays.
• Facilitate customs clearance and resolve any documentation or clearance issues.
• Manage inland transportation and material receipt in collaboration with transporters and warehouse teams.
• Ensure regulatory and company compliance for all import, customs and logistics activities.
• Monitor logistics costs—including freight, duties, demurrage and detention—and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Maintain accurate ERP records and logistics reports covering shipment status, costs and inventory movements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field from an HEC‑recognized institution.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
