About the role
Our client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator specialized in freight forwarding to manage inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate with carriers, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations. The role supports cost‑effective transportation while collaborating closely with warehouse and procurement teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate schedules with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport providers.
- Prepare detailed shipment costing and budgeting plans.
- Handle import and export documentation and customs compliance.
- Track shipment status and communicate updates to internal teams.
- Optimize transportation routes and costs while maintaining delivery standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse and procurement to streamline processes.
- Prepare regular logistics reports for management.
- Supervise a small logistics team and guide daily tasks.
- Maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships.
Required profile
- Approximately three years of experience in freight forwarding or supply chain logistics.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Experience managing a small team.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple shipments.
- Understanding of customs regulations and documentation.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems for logistics data management.
