Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will be based at the West Wharf Blending Plant and work in shifts to ensure smooth distribution operations. The role combines inventory control, warehouse oversight, fleet cost optimisation and customer service while maintaining strict HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory and warehouse activities, perform daily stock reconciliations and implement best‑practice processes.
• Coordinate with the Planning team for distribution resource planning and ensure proper handling of finished products.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to schedule dispatches, monitor fleet performance and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Support internal and external customers with product deliveries, address issues promptly and provide sales support.
• Enforce HSE compliance, oversee forklift and vehicle movements, and deliver basic safety training.
• Track KPIs such as OTIF, cost per shipment and productivity, analyse logistics data and implement continuous‑improvement actions.

Required profile

• Graduation in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
